[The Challenge]
Amplified: Ireland in Full Frequency is an imagined exhibition exploring Irish creativity as a living signal - rooted in storytelling, shaped by resilience and resonating globally. Bringing together established and emerging voices across music, art and culture, the exhibition moves beyond trend or stereotype to frame Irish expression as an ongoing transmission.
Grateful to Bryony Coles and Enda Bowe for the photography that brought depth and atmosphere to the project.
[The Process]
The project reframes Irish creativity as a living signal — something long established, now being amplified globally.
This concept drives the entire visual system. Typography incorporates subtle references to the Irish language through the use of fadas, while also evoking signal spikes and amplification. A restrained palette of black, white and electric green modernises traditional associations with Irish identity.
[The Result]
The result is a bold conceptual identity that frames Irish creativity not as a fleeting cultural trend, but as an ongoing transmission — rooted in heritage yet constantly evolving.
The design demonstrates how a single conceptual idea can drive typography, layout, colour and spatial applications, creating a cohesive visual language that reflects the energy and complexity of contemporary Irish culture.
The editorial brochure acts as the core narrative device, with layouts progressing from calm and structured to layered and disruptive — visually mirroring a signal gaining intensity. Repeated and warped photography introduces rhythm and movement, reinforcing ideas of transmission and creative momentum.
